The What Could Go Wrong model and this knowledgebase will help businesses with their digital security. By simple explanations, associated with attractive visualizations we hope to takeaway the hurdle of complexity. That is necessary, because when organizations start digitalizing a certain amount of control is required. Entrepreneurs need to be in-control themselves and that is wat security is all about.
The What Could Go Wrong characters are created according to the VERIS Framework. The drawings were per request by Zolder made by Colombian illustrator Jhony Caballero.
8 Categories
Each WCGW Character corresponds with 1 of the "actions" in the VERIS Framework. We have added one more called "Custom", which Zolder will use to monitor customer-specific stuff in our services.
In VERIS each Action contains "varieties". And so each category like Malware basically has subcategories like Ransomware. Or Phishing as a subcategory of Social. Zolder will step-by-step fill the Knowledgebase with explanation about these different categories and per item Jhony will create the character in a matching pose. That way a rich and nice knowledgebase should emerge by which we hope to make digital security more accessible and thus better under control.
Creative Commons - CC SA BY
We are publishing the artwork under the creative commons license CC SA BY, known as “Attribution-ShareAlike”. This is to say that everyone is free to reuse the artwork, also for commercial means, as long as the source (zolder.io/wcgw) is mentioned. Also the images may be adjusted, as long as the resulting adjusted work is made available to others under the same license.
This way we hope more organizations will start using the artwork for their own information and services. It would increase the recognizability which in it's turn would serve the intended goal.
